Course programme
Though you may study on your own, you will not be alone. This route includes the support of our teaching faculty and access to your fellow students through our online facilities such as MyGroups, which facilitates peer student contact with an emphasis on local groups. Come exam time, you will have all the help you need.
There are no compulsory residential elements to our MBA - though you can, if you wish, decide to take some courses on campus. All exams can be sat in one of our 350 exam centres around the world.
There are seven core courses in the MBA programme. You also take two elective courses, chosen from an extensive range. Each course requires approximately 200 hours of study.
You work towards your MBA on a course-by-course basis. The student handbook provides detailed guidance on the best order in which to study your courses, and there is a degree of flexibility. However, Strategic Planning should be taken as the final core course because it builds on the prior study of other courses.
Some subject courses may also be studied on campus at EBS.
There is no prescribed start date, and no limit on the duration of your studies.
After completing three courses, you are eligible for a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration, and after six courses for a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration.
The postgraduate certificate and postgraduate diploma awards are formal recognition of your progress: they can also be used as exit awards.
