Course review:
This is a structured programme of eight Wednesday evening sessions and a weekend morning. Over the eight sessions and in your practice at home and in daily life inbetween, you will be learning how to experience each moment of your life in ways that bring you to a greater sense of clarity, calm and kindness. This is enormously useful if you have a tendency to get stuck in ways of thinking and behaving that bring distress. And this supports long-term changes in how you approach life, enhancingmood and general wellbeing.
The course includes: * mindfulness meditations * body awareness * gentle stretching & movement * group discussion * home practice You'll also receive CDs with tutor-led instruction for use at home and a handbook. Practising at home is important and you will need to put aside time each day for formal practice as well as being encouraged to practise mindfulness in everyday activities. No experience of meditation or similar activities is needed and the course is non-religious in character.
