Mindfulness is enormously useful if you have a tendency to get stuck in ways of thinking and behaving that engender distress. Regular practice supports long-term changes in how you approach life, enhancing mood and general wellbeing. This course provides an opportunity to learn mindfulness at a time and a pace that suits you. We cover everything that's in a group mindfulness course.
In each session we'll practise a method for cultivating mindfulness and look at how and why it can be useful. There are also opportunities to talk about your experience.

Course programme
Mindfulness (MBCT/MBSR) for Stress Reduction: One-to-One Learning, either in person, by phone or by skype.
This is a structured eight-session mindfulness training course helpful for those whose quality of life is affected by stress, anxiety or depression. Learn to experience each moment of life in ways that bring you more clarity, calm and kindness.
Sessions last 60 to 75 minutes, usually weekly or fortnightly, and can be arranged at a time and day to suit you and your lifestyle. A preliminary one-to-one discussion and orientation session will clarify any questions before you start, and there's a follow-up session a month or so after the course ends to see how you're getting on. You can also contact me inbetween sessions if required.
You’ll receive CDs with tutor-led instruction to help you practise at home. You’ll also be encouraged to practise mindfulness in everyday activities. You don’t need previous meditation experience, and the course is entirely non-religious and secular. The cost also includes ongoing ‘phone support during the course.
