About this course
A minimum of 4 GCSEs at C or above including Maths, English and preferably Science or equivalent OR
A BTEC First Diploma in Engineering with a satisfactory reference and equivalent Maths, English and preferably Science OR
A relevant Level 2 qualification with equivalent Maths, English and preferably Science.

Content

During year two of the course (National Certificate) you will study a further 6 BTEC modules including; Business Systems, Further Mechanical Principles, Primary Forming, Drawing and CAD and Further Mathematics. The second year of the course also includes a Project.
Assessment Your work will be assessed on a continual basis through a range of written assignments Progression
This course will prepare you for employment at technical/skilled status or for advanced study such as a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
