MECHANICAL/MANUFACTURE VRQ LEVEL 3 C&G 2800 Entry Requirements
Performing Engineering Operators or a suitable engineering background at level 2. This course is widely respected by the engineering community, it forms part of the underpinning knowledge for NVQ level 3.

Description
This two year course provides the knowledge and understanding of mechanical manufacture.
Course Content
The scheme comprises the following 6 units:

001 - Work Effectively and Safely
002 - Engineering Principles and Practice
009 - Principles of Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering
047 - Computer Aided Design
040 - Milling
039 - Turning
Where a course is aimed towards an assessment/examination, it is expected that all students will enter for the qualification.
Method of Assessment
2 online multi-choice exams (units 001 and 002)
4 written exams (units 009, 047, 040, 039)
2 practical assessments (units 047, 040, 039)
Assignments and Practical tasks.
