What is this course about? The course introduces you to the skills required for media production, from original idea through to final product. You will gain knowledge and experience of current professional roles and working methods in television and film industries

Who is this course for? Young people aged 16-18 who are interested in pursuing a career or higher education in media.

What do I need to get on the course?
· 4 GCSEs at grade D or above, including one art related subject,

BTEC Introductory Diploma in Media with a merit or distinction and key skills at Level 1

What will I study? You will develop ways of looking at and analysing media, studying products such as print products and television documentaries. Key practical skills covered include video camera operation, lighting and editing.
Your studies will focus on working as part of a production team to create media products based on current creative industry practices.
