About the Course
This is a very practical one-year course, assessed through six units. The three core units are:
• Introduction to Media Industries
• Research for Media Production and
• Introduction to Media Industries and Products
The three specialist units cover the study and making of: Television Programmes (soap opera etc), Music Videos, and TV Adverts. Each unit is accompanied by detailed paperwork including scripts, risk assessments, floor plans and set designs - to name but a few. Although most units are practical, some contain theory - you will be taught the media language to analyse films and TV and learn how powerfully the media can manipulate audiences.
Students who take this course are usually creative and more interested in a hands-on approach. If this sounds like you then please get in contact soon.
