Introduction:
This course provides students with both theoretical and practical skills and knowledge required to pursue a career in the media industry.

Students study television, radio and print industries alongside the internet, website design and production.

Study Mode & Location:
This two year course will be held at Preston College, Park Campus, Moor Park Avenue, Preston, PR1 6AS.

Course Content:
The course provides an insight to the media world.

Students study 12 units investigating how the main media industries work and undertaking hands on production work. Students will develop communication, production and technical skills needed to work in a wide range of media industries.

This course is both theoretical and practically based with students studying the principle areas of media before embarking on a research and production topic in their final year.

Assessment:
Students are assessed by a programme of work related assignments including elements of research, design and production.

Careers & Progression Opportunities:
Many students progress to university or art college to complete Degrees and Higher National Diplomas, others gain immediate employment in the media industry.

How To Apply
You will need to complete a Further Education Application Form. These will be available from mid-May.
Many courses have limited places so please return your application form as soon as possible. Following acceptance of your application, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
