What do I need to get on the course? You will normally need to have at least one of the following: a merit at BTEC First Diploma in a related subject, a merit at Intermediate GNVQ in a related subject or four GCSEs at grades A*-C.

· Media Skills Workshop

· Professional Practice in the Media Industry

You take all four specialist units from this list:

· Production Management

· Professional Brief

· Multimedia Practices

· Digital Graphics

You take ten specialist units from this list:

· Designing Graphics and Idents for Screens

· Animating Images

· Digital Writing

· Digital Imaging

· Web Graphics

· Web Authoring

· Web Animation

· Video in Multimedia

· Sound in Multimedia

· Motion Graphics and Compositing Video

· Multimedia Authoring

· 3D Modelling

· 3D Animation

· 3D Environments

These units contribute towards the assessed Final Major Project (FMP). ,

What qualification will I get? BTEC National Diploma in Media (e-Media)

What can I do after the course? BTEC National Diplomas are valued by employers and higher education (universities and colleges). If you want to get a job straight away you could work in: Website Design, Animation, Graphic Design or 3D Design. If you decide to go to university or college you could take a degree or a BTEC Higher National in Media.
