Course Description
You will experience an exciting mixture of practical production work and classroom-based study, involving the main areas of TV broadcasting, film, music industry and magazines. In year 1 you will produce one media production, for example a short filmextract or pages of a teen magazine. In year 2 you will develop your own media interests in more depth with a free choice for coursework, ie music video, animation, radio soap, film short. Class meets for 5 hours per week.

Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, usually including English and Maths.

Assessment: There are project-based assignments (ie producing videos and CDs),ongoing portfolio assessments, and a Final Major Project. Practical skills in video and sound production. DTP and editing, writing and research skills.

Progression Routes: University study in Media is a very popular degree option.
