Before graduation, students also get the opportunity to join an externship where they’ll integrate the skills and knowledge they’ve learned into a real work environment.

SBBCollege's Medical Billing and Coding associate's degree program teaches students how to help doctors' offices, hospitals and clinics run smoothly and efficiently within an administrative position. Through training in front office skills and integrated computer applications, they learn the skills needed to work as a medical billing and coding technician.
And, as part of SBBCollege's Medical Billing and Coding program, they can apply what they learn in the classroom to an externship in a real work environment before graduating. This experience could be just what is needed to put them ahead in the job market! Graduates of this program are also eligible to sit for the American Academy of Professional Coders’ Certified Professional Coder examination.
