As a medical administrator or receptionist you will fulfil a very important role within a health care environment. You will be part of the 'front-line' staff and often the first port of call for patient and relative enquiries, either by telephone or in person. The impression that you make on these people will influence their opinion of the organisation that you work for. You will also work as part of a team and liaise with a variety of colleagues and health care professions.
Once qualified, you may choose to work within general practice, hospitals, clinics or private practice.
