Medical Terminology Level 2 AMSPAR

This is an introductory course at Level 2 aimed at anyone who wants to work in any medical environment, as well as anyone who already does so. It provides a good foundation for a variety of medical administration uses and fulfils the expectations of employers in this area. Although this is a stand alone course it also forms part of a new AMSPAR qualification - The Intermediate Diploma in Medical AdminstrationEntry RequirementsNo previous knowledge of the subject is needed but a good level of English is expected. There is a 70% pass mark for this subject and students are expected to undertake homework in order to achieve it.
Course Content
There is one unit with four sections:·The structure and meaning of medical terms.·The meaning of medical terms relating to the body systems·The meaning of medical terms for different medical specialities·The meaning of abbreviations concerning drugs and prescriptions.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by one examination of one hour which is externally set and moderated by AMSPAR.
