About this course

Applicants should normally hold a 2(i) Honours degree in an appropriate discipline. In addition, students whose mother tongue is not English require IELTS 6.5.

The courses reflect research interests drawn from various disciplines including Celtic, Divinity, English, French, History, History of Art, and Scottish and Irish Studies. The programme offers training and thematic courses as well as specialist supervision for a 15,000 word dissertation of the students' own choice.

  • Dissertation Preparation: Sources and Source Criticism

Assessment

Assessment is mostly based on written work and moderated according to university standards. For the award of the MLitt you are required to write a dissertation of 15,000 words in English.

12 months, full-time.
