Meditation and Mindfulness - Mind-Body Health and Well-Being - > | Brighton -

This is an excellent training for developing the positive psychology of healthcare and well-being through directly accessing the mind body connection. We know stress is at epidemic portions in our society leaving little time to truly enjoy our life. On this two day training Paula Pluck will share proven strategies to help you or your clients lead healthier and happier lives.

Eastern traditions, along with Christian mystics, have taught for thousands of years that meditation and mindfulness lead to increased health and well-being. The latest scientific research is also confirming that integrating mindfulness into your life enhances your mental, emotional and physical well-being.

On this 1 day training we will explore, in particular, how to produce endorphins using the key strategies developed by William Bloom in his book the Endorphin Effect. William shares 'endorphins are the miracle hormones that relax tissue, remove pain, and create the physical sensations of well-being. These strategies can be used even when tired, on overload or in crisis.'

Paula, who has been trained by William as an Endorphin Effect Coach, and is the founder of the Meditation, Mindfulness and Health and Well-being organisations Smartfoundations.

Drawing on her own experience and aspects of William's well documented strategies Paula will step by step show you how the following easy to apply techniques can provide you with a great formula for increased health, happiness and success:

• 800080;">Inner Smile - a joyful practice used in traditional Chinese medicine to support and revitalise the internal organs and develop optimum health.

• 800080;">Soft belly - A relaxing and regenerating belly breathing exercise to sustain a strong core and hara (Hara 腹means belly in Japanese) breathing into and relaxing the belly means those nerves will relieve the heart and stimulate easier and stronger circulation. Thus also eliciting the natural rest / repose system in the body enabling a strong grounded response to life and the challenges it presents.
