Entry Requirements
An interest in home cooking is essential, plus a willingness to learn new skills and techniques in a professional kitchen.

Course Duration
6 weeks - Tuesday evening.

Skills and Benefits
To learn the skills needed to produce a range of mediterranean dishes. You will be given an introduction to health and safety practices in our professional kitchen environment.

Mandatory Units
Week 1: Flat breads and kebabs Halloumi, hummus, spicy lamb and one minutes flat breads Week 2: Tapas and Pintxo A selection of tapas and canapes Week 3: Mediterranean fish dishes various 'quick' fish dishes Week 4: Pasta Pasta salads, tomato sauces and fresh sauces Week 5: Mezza and platters Breads, dips and snacks Week 6: Italian desserts Panna cotta and tiramisu

There are no optional units on this qualification.

Course Assessment
Your tutor will give you helpful advice, guidance and support throughout the course to improve taste, presentation and technique.
