The course will help participants to: Have an understanding of the terms mental health and mental illness. Be able to recognise some of the signs and symptoms of mental health problems. Understand how some people with mental health problems may experience the world. Briefly outline some common mental illnesses. Have identified ways in which they may be able to provide appropriate support to people with mental health problems. Work within their duty of care to the individual. Suitable for: This course is ideal for staff who have received little or no previous training in mental health, but who may come into contact with people with mental health problems as part of their work.

A 3 hour course aimed at staff who have received little or no previous training in mental health, but who may come into contact with people with mental health problems as part of their work.
