This module is designed to furnish participants with knowledge and skills pertinent to mentorship in the context of their professional practice. The ethos of supported challenge through context specific mentorship enables the development of critically reflective practitioners responsible for achievement of their own and others practice. This module can be used towards the NMC requirements for Stage 3 mentor status.

The module aims to provide a critical perspective and achieve conceptual understanding of the complexities inherent within the mentorship role in dynamic health and social care environments.
Any individual wishing to develop mentoring to a higher level.

On successful completion you will:- Demonstrate the competencies of a mentor as recognised by the Nursing and Midwifery Council;
- Mentor others with confidence in context specific areas.
