Overview
This course has been designed for regular Microsoft Excel users, or those who have attended the Microsoft Excel Introduction or Intermediate training courses, who would like a better understanding of the analysis tools available and some advanced Excel functions.
Course Content
Worksheet Functions

• Using the function wizard
• Calculate using statistical functions

Logical Functions

• If, And and Or functions

Lookup Tables

• Using the Lookup function
• Calculating with conditional criteria

Goal Seek

• Calculating variables based on a fixed result

Data Tables

• Extending calculations to include variable elements

Scenarios

• Saving scenarios containing different variable elements

Solver

• Using variables to arrive at optimal solutions

Pivot Tables

• Creating and using pivot tables

Macros

• Creating, saving and replaying macros

Format
This course is instructor led in a classroom environment. We recommend a maximum of 8 delegates per course to ensure that all delegates gain the maximum benefit from the course.
Duration
This is a one day course. Standard hours are 9:30 to 16:30, with a one hour lunch break, and short breaks mid morning and mid afternoon. It may be possible to change this arrangement by request.
Location & Cost
This course is available on-site at your offices, using your own equipment for £300 + £20 per delegate + VAT. We may be able to arrange an alternative venue or equipment hire at extra cost - please contact us to discuss if required.
