This course is designed for anyone new to Excel as well as people who are using Excel but are struggling to understand or change existing spreadsheets. At the end of the course the learner will be able to produce professional spreadsheets, containing formulas and charts.

During the course the learner will practice their skills with skill reviews and exercises. An evidence of learning form will be completed during the course and verified by the trainer. This can be used to prove competency in the areas covered by the learner. A certificate of completion will also be issued.

· Exploring each of the toolbars available
· Moving around worksheets
· Building a simple worksheet
· Inserting and deleting cells
· Adding new columns and rows to a spreadsheet
· Understanding and creating simple formula
· Printing and print preview
· Formatting a spreadsheet including: wrapping text and auto fit
· Adding, copying, displaying and renaming worksheets
· Understanding and working with workbooks
· Changing worksheet views and inserting page breaks
· Using the zoom control
· An introduction to more complex formulas including vat calculations
· Improving Efficiency: Using the format painter
