2. Course description If you are considering a career in the medical and nursing industry, you might have already thought about Midwifery. It's an exceptionally rewarding role, and this Access To Higher Education Diploma will provide you will a solid base of skills and knowledge to help you advance onto a university-level course. Entry requirements To be eligible for this Access To Higher Education Diploma in Midwifery, you'll need to have GCSEs in Maths, English Language and Science at Grade C or above, as this is typically requested by universities. Alternatively, you'll need to be studying at least two of these subjects to GCSE level alongside your Access programme. As with most medical-based university courses, work experience is always desirable. We strongly suggest that you organise a placement either before you start or during the early stages of your course, in order to increase your progression options. 4.
