Course programme

Course overview Sight Concern is part of the Milestones programme. This a collection of courses for adults with a sensory, physical, mental health or learning difficulty/disability and adults with an acquired brain injury. These courses take place within community in and around the Worcestershire area. A wide range of subjects at foundation level are offered, including courses delivering the three stands of the new Foundation Learning Curriculum, courses tailored to specific disability requirements and courses for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities. • Sight Concern – our partnership with Sight Concern and Worcester Integrated Services provides computer classes for people with a visual impairment. Students can learn skills such as touch typing, word processing, internet and email and have access to a range of specialist software. Craft classes are also available and include painting, collage and a variety of crafts to suit individual needs. Referrals are processed through Sight Concern. The following qualifications are available, dependent upon ability and progress: •  IT Functional Skills. Learners on this course will receive reviews of their progress throughout the year to assess achievement, general performance and progression support needs in the following year. Entry requirements This course is aimed at adult learners with a visual impairment. Referrals to Sight Concern are welcome from agencies, by self referral or from parents or carers.
