Course Overview

This course is one of a series that have been introduced by Baines Simmons specifically to develop the competence of senior managers. The course will provide an understanding of the basic responsibilities as an Accountable (or Key) Manager.

The capabilities and professionalism of Key Personnel within EASA Approved Organisations play a significant part in sustaining flight safety. Accordingly EASA and National Aviation Authorities have generated requirements for Key Personnel. This course will equip participants with the knowledge and understanding of these requirements.

If you are an EASA Form 4 applicant or holder this course is definitely for you.

Key Topics Covered:

  • An introduction in context of the EASA regulatory framework, including the NPA and CRD process.
  • The AOC holder responsibilities under Part-M.
  • Illustration of the practical application of the regulations using relevant industry examples.
  • Specific focus on subparts B, C, D, G and I.
  • Airworthiness Review Certification (ARC) procedures.
  • Interface between Part-M and Parts-145, 147 and 66.
  • Interrelationship with other worldwide regulation systems.
  • Form 4 holder and management responsibilities.

Presentation Format

This course is a balanced mixture of group discussions, whiteboard work and PowerPoint presentations. Managed syndicate exercises afford participants the opportunity to practise application and evaluation of new processes and
techniques.

Assessment Process
