Course Description

MODAF is the MoD’s architectural framework and has been developed with the intention of providing a rigorous way to specify systems of systems, being a key enabler to NEC (Network Enabled Capability). This course provides a description of MODAF views and products together with key relationships within MODAF. It provides practical experience in the creation of MODAF models in a tool independent manner. An optional tool-specific option is available for those wishing to gain experience in the use of a modeling tool.

This course differs from the 2 day course by including an introduction to the UML concepts, terminology and notation which are essential to a good understanding of MODAF modeling.

With the alignment of the NATO Architecture Framework (NAF) with MODAF this course is also applicable for anyone intending to use NAF V3.1.
