About this course
You begin a common programme of studies which aims to ensure a foundation of knowledge to all students on the course. From the very beginning of the course you can expect bespoke introductory modules, which provide a firm grounding at the interface of science and engineering. The programme is cross disciplinary and draws on topics from mathematics, chemistry and physical sciences, as well as engineering principles. Once a common basis has been achieved, students will engage in advanced activities cutting across engineering and natural sciences. There will be key skills embedded into the course, including entrepreneurship and handling data, professional skills and graduate attributes. You will be able to exercise your broad fundamental knowledge to a wide range of applied and industrial problems, providing you with opportunities to hone these skills through research projects with an industrial partner and across the faculties at Imperial.
All applicants must apply online. You can usually apply for up to two courses, although your second choice will only be considered if your first-choice application is unsuccessful.
