Learning will cover the technical theory behind all of the below operations and practical skills required to carry out these operations to motor vehicle industry standard.
Valeting:
Exterior and interior cleaning processes
Selection and use of cleaning materials
Selection use and maintenance of valeting equipment
Preparation to accept Primers and Colour:
This includes all metals, plastics and body filled repairs to accept paint materials
Selection and use of materials
Selection, use and maintenance of preparation equipment
Masking:
The types of masking materials and their uses and applications
Paint Materials:
The Types of paint materials available and their preparation and uses
Paint Application Equipment:
The selection, setting up, use of and maintenance of equipment required for the application of primers and top coat paint materials
Paint faults:
Their identification, prevention and rectification.
Remove and Replace Non-Structural Body Panels and Components:
To include doors, wings, bonnet, tailgate, boot lid, bumpers, lights, grilles and body trim components
Remove and Fit Non-Structural Body Panels:
M.I.G and Spot Welding new panels Removing and replacing welded panels
Repair Vehicle Body Panels: Dent removal, using hand tools and specialist equipment

Body filling and plastic bumper repairs
