• You need to have gained the Level 1 IMIAL Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance
• You should have successful Level 2 practical assessment skills
• All applicants are required to have a successful interview
Practical training on all aspects of motor vehicle engineering including: engine technology, transmission systems, fuel and exhaust systems including fuel injection technology, steering and suspension, engine management systems, auxiliary electrics and routine maintenance.
You will also study one Functional Skill.
The course is a mixture of practical and theory work which makes use of the College’s modern and well equipped workshops.
Theory work is structured to complement the practical work and includes a variety of different learning experiences.
Where can I move on to after this course?On successful completion of the Level 2 course you can apply to join the Level 3 course.
Alternatively you can move into employment in the fast fit industry.
