If you wish to work as a Motor Vehicle Technician in a variety of areas of motor industry, this programme offers you the training you will need. Advanced Apprenticeships call for a greater in-depth knowledge of complex vehicle systems, fault diagnosis and their maintenance. It is designed for those with some knowledge and experience of the motor vehicle industry and combines lectures and project work with employment experience. Working in small groups, the emphasis is on practical training, using the specialist College facilities in conjunction with on the job training. The course also includes Key Skills, which are a set of transferable skills central to your career and personal development.

College application and by interview. An appropriate reference and school report is required at interview.

What are the entry requirements?

Minimum qualifications: Full level 2

Technical Certificate Level 2 and /or successful completion of the Level 2 Apprenticeship.However, entry requirements can be discussed on an individual basis. You’ll also need suitable employment before your Apprenticeship can begin
