Advanced Diagnostics Using Oscilloscopes and Multi-Meters

This course will start with the basics of electricity and will include terminology, abbreviations and applications of Ohm's law. A range of test equipment will be discussed and methods of connecting to circuits.

Automotive Accreditation Scheme (ATA) Mechanical Electrical and Trim

This is a national voluntary scheme which tests the current competence of individuals working in the retail motor industry, who are committed to an ethical code of conduct. It has the backing of major vehicle manufacturers and related organisations.

Automotive Refrigerant Handling Award

From 4 July 2010, all Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC) technicians working with cars and car derived vans, must have achieved, as a minimum requirement, a refrigerant handling qualification which fulfils the European Union F-Gas Regulation (EC842/2006).

Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) Senior Paint Technician

The ATA scheme is based on National Occupational Standards to ensure that it meets the skill requirements of the retail motor industry. To achieve accreditation technicians must pass a series of practical assessments and an online knowledge test.

Basic Vehicle Electrics and Electronics

This course covers the basics of electricity and will include terminology, abbreviations and applications of Ohm's law. Learners will cover simple circuits such as series and parallel and will also develop skills in using multi-meters.

Controller Area Networks (CAN BUS) Systems

This course covers the basics of digital and analogue signals that are used in vehicle systems. Technicians will learn basic digital principles such as binary, logic and CAN Bus signals along with how the signals are constructed.

This course will start with the basics of engine management and an overview of common systems. A range of input devices will be covered such as knock sensors, mass air flow and MAP sensors.

Motor Vehicle Related Subjects - Covering Light Vehicle, MET, Body Repair and Refinishing NVQ

These courses are ideal for Technicians who want to gain a qualification that is relevant to their vocation. Candidates will be assessed in the workplace and will gather evidence to complete a portfolio.

Road Passenger Vehicle Driving NVQ 2

This course allows current drivers to develop their knowledge of licensing and regulatory requirements. It provides a job related qualification and assessment related to the taxi and private hire industry.
