You'll gain the skills and experience you need for full-time practice, and meet the Nursing and Midwifery Council's standards for such training. Become eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse - Health Visitor or School Nurse Embark upon a rewarding career as a health visitor or school nurse. The modern and diverse placements are designed to meet the changing needs of children, young people and families, and may include work with social services, in education or with a variety of organisations from the voluntary sector. They foster collaborations with those that work alongside health visitors and school nurses. You must have undertaken the PGDip in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing and be registered with the NMC as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
