About this course
Applicants need to be currently in a role which has a contractual obligation for teaching, learning and assessment. If students require registration with the nursing and midwifery council (nurses and midwives only) they need to have been a registered practitioner working with students for a minimum period of 3 years. Our entry requirements indicate the minimum qualifications with which we normally accept students. You'll develop a combination of theoretical and practical skills in this course, including critical thinking when considering the issues associated with practice, knowledge and application of research methods and their application, and efficient approaches to time management, prioritisation and workload planning.
The applied education element of this course allows all nurses undertaking it to record the teaching qualification with the NMC. The course is also recognised by SEDA (the Staff and Educational Development Association), and accredited by the HEA (Higher Education Academy).
