You are encouraged to become an active, self-directed learner. We aim to provide a supportive, inclusive yet challenging learning experience that will help you achieve your ambitions.
Lectures will introduce you to key theories, concepts, and current debates, with guest lecturers and site visits illustrating the concepts and issues being explored. Assessment is entirely through coursework, using tasks that you are likely to do as part of your professional role.
You learn through: lectures; guest lectures; individual and group exercises; case studies; field visits; coursework. The environmental management sector is broad and so offers a wide range of employment opportunities. The environmental consultancy sector, which spans both ecology and resource management, is strong and so is the main source of employment for our graduates. Many part-time students are supported by employers and find that they progress in their workplace after completing the course.
