Entry requirements
A 2:2 degree or above in a relevant subject.
We welcome those with a clinical background, but this is not necessary. An informative and well-written supporting statement is also required.
We hope to attract a mix of students from different academic backgrounds. We welcome those with a background in arts, science or social science. If your first degree is in subjects as diverse as Photography, English, Human Biology, Computing, Sociology and Economics, you will be welcome.

Course detail
What modules will I study as part of my course?
You will study two modules per semester. There are two semesters in one academic year.
Teaching takes place on a Friday at Paragon House, Brentford.
You will start your first semester with the core module:
Public Health Perspectives (20 credits)
And another second core (20 credit) module from:
Public Health Policy
Measuring Public Health and Wellbeing
Leadership for Public Health and Wellbeing
Module details
Public Health Perspectives
This module provides an excellent grounding in public health, it both builds on the knowledge and understanding of health professionals, and is accessible to students from other academic backgrounds.
Public Health Policy
This module highlights the ‘big picture’ social policies that shape and influence our health.
Measuring Public Health and Wellbeing
This module provides a practical focus on public health data, which is accessible to all.
Leadership for Public Health and Wellbeing
This module prepares students for working in public health and wellbeing roles.
You will select two specialist options (of 20 credits each).
Options have included:
Global Public Health
Nutrition for Health and Wellbeing
Promoting Sexual Health.
Your final modules will be Research Methods (20 credits) and the Dissertation for Public Health and Wellbeing (40 credits).
