Course programme

Creative Music Technology is an innovative programme that focuses on the latest developments in sound design and audio processing. The programme is designed for students with a creative background in electronic composition and production, DJ technology or audio software development. Creative Music Technology students have the opportunity to develop their creative ideas within the fully equipped digital studios and perform or exhibit their works in a range of contexts, such as performances, installations and websites. The course is run by a dynamic team of tutors, many of whom work in the contemporary audio scene as producers, composers, performers, sound artists and software designers. In addition, students will have the opportunity to work with our in-house record label (C3U Records) and have visiting lectures from professionals working in the contemporary music scene. Visiting lecturers have included Matthew Herbert (international producer and performer), DJ Sniff (turntablist and software designer), Janek Schaefer (internationally-renowned sound artist and composer), David Toop (leading author and sound artist) and Evan Parker (world-leading saxophonist and composer)
