The Part time BA Hons in Contemporary Music & Technology is a full 5 year modular programme validated by the Open University that involves two pathways, Music Performance & Music Technology. It is designed to allow students who have a strong background and qualifications in either Music Performance or Technology to develop their studies further in the chosen specialist area, whilst having an opportunity to develop skills from the opposite pathway. Students will have access to the departments Industry Standard Recording Studios, Rehearsal Rooms and Industry Standard Music Computer Suites including Cubase SX, Logic, Pro-Tools, Ableton, Reason and Sibelius software.

Core areas involve Recording Studio Techniques, Live Sound, MIDI Sequencing, Music Performance, Music Law and Composition.
