What will I learn?
This is a creative and innovative subject which will arm you with the skills needed to arrange, compose, produce and record music. You will acquire skills in sequencing and multitrack recording and will learn how to use technology successfully in the field of contemporary popular music to produce accomplished musical performances in a range of styles.
What qualifications do I need?
We would normally require candidates to have the standard sixth form entry requirements, plus the ability to play a musical instrument to a reasonable level.
Career opportunities:
Opportunities exist within radio, film industry, theatre and concerts. Also administration and management work with music magazines; and work in music, computer of electronics shops. Further training opens up opportunities for sound engineering, teaching, research and development, equipment design and television/radio engineering and production.
