Course programme
The course will prepare you academically for university-level courses, such as Foundation Degrees, Higher National Diplomas and BAs on offer at the College and a range of universities.
You’ll get hands-on experience through a broad range of projects from recording bands and using studio equipment to creating your own samples and exploring synthesis. You will develop a solid grounding in a range of music production, technology, composition and performance skills. There are also specialist modules including digital mixing production, sound design, audio production, sampling and mastering.
You will also gain an understanding of the structure of the music industry, the key aspects of the business such as contracts, royalties, licensing and promoting yourself as an artist.
Alongside your main music studies, the Access course is designed to ensure you achieve a Maths and English qualification at the appropriate level for entry to higher education.
