Course Description
This unique programme delivered at STOW College and validated by the University of West of Scotland commences in September 2009. Candidates who have already achieved an HND in Musical Theatre, Acting and Performance or Dance and satisfy the relevant audition and entrance requirements will be offered a place in the 3rd year of Scotlands first degree in Musical Theatre. On completion of your one year course you will receive an ordinary degree in Musical Theatre awarded by the University of West of Scotland and will be offered the chance to proceed to the fourth year Hons programme in Musical Theatre. All subjects will be taught in lectures and seminars at the Stow West, Hotspur Street Campus in purpose renovated accommodation. Students will be enrolled onto the University of West of Scotland and will have access to all University facilities as well as Stow College facilities.

Preferred Entry Requirements
Appropriate HND in Acting & Performance, Musical Theatre or Dance plus satisfying a relevant audition.

Course Content
Areas studied include: Acting for the Musical Theatre Performer; Singing and Repertoire for Musical Theatre; Dance for the Musical Theatre Performer; Spoken Word and Voice for the Musical Theatre Performer; Musical Theatre Production.

Progression
Successful completion of the third year degree would enable students to enter employment or articulate to the fourth year (Honours level) degree.
