Modular structure The aim of the course is to provide a platform of advanced, broad based education for careers in business, supported by specialism in Finance and to develop students’ general intellectual competence. Graduates will be equipped for a career in industry, commerce or the public sector, and should expect to progress quickly to higher levels of responsibility.

Skills and experience gained The first year of your course is taught mainly in Business Pods. These are designed to simulate a modern office environment and introduce you to typical working conditions you might find in employment. There is an emphasis on group working and skills development achieved through working on a wide variety of challenging tasks. In the second year we build on your core skills by providing you with a wide range of business knowledge, again with the emphasis on realistic learning and developing useful skills designed to maximise your employability. In any event the final year will be oriented to the study of Finance through a specialist unit studying this topic, through the Dissertation which needs to be based in this area. After the course On completing this course you are likely to progress to a career in a wide variety of industries. Our aim is to produce practice based all-rounders who understand the demands and requirements of the commercial world. The experience you will gain will equip you with both the knowledge and process skills to make you highly effective. This course prepares you for the world of work and you will find that you can easily fit in to a wide variety of tasks and organisations.
