Course programme
Course Overview
This full-time course is suitable for anyone with an interest in the nail industry as a career. It will allow you the opportunity of becoming a qualified nail technician at Level 2.
Course Structure
The programme is delivered over one academic year (36 weeks) at 15 hours per week (usually over 2.5 days).

- Nail Extensions â€" Application, Maintenance & Repair of artificial nails using the wrap system (Fibreglass/Silk)
- Natural Nail Overlays (Fibreglass/Silk)
- Nail Art
- Ear Piercing
- Anatomy & Physiology
- Essential skills (Literacy, Numeracy & ICT)
* Although not required for the Level 2 qualification, acrylic & gel overlays will be covered during the course.
Qualification Aims
VTCT NVQ level 2 in Nail Services
Assessments/Examinations
Continual written and practical assessments/assignments in both theory and practical aspects of the course. Practical assessments are carried out in a realistic work environment (RWE) on fee paying clients. A portfolio of evidence is compiled throughout the course and submitted for final verification.
Students are required to obtain work placement within the industry while working towards their qualification. A minimum of 40 hours is required.

If you are 19 years of age or over at the start of the course, the tuition fee's may be payable for£495 per year.
