Although there are no formal entry requirements, you will need a strong desire to succeed. Previous riding experience is essential to participate in the riding unit of the qualification.

Who is the programme for? The programme is suitable for those who wish to pursue a career in the equine industry, or those already working in the industry wishing to upgrade their qualifications. It would also suit those working towards Horse Knowledge and Care Levels 1 and 2.

Entry to the Programme?
How is it assessed? Assessment is by practical observations, lwhilst working in a realistic working environment, assignments and written examinations.
Future prospects? You could progress onto an Advanced National Certificate, or alternatively you may wish to seek employment within the equine or allied industries.
When will the programme start? The programme will commence in September.
How long will it take? One academic year.
