By completing this specialist course, you will be on track to working in a range of children’s activities and prepares you for employment in children’s play, learning and development sector (as an early years practitioner or educator) and will also provide you with a nationally and internationally recognised Licence to Practice, unsupervised with children. You’ll learn about child development, play and learning, supporting children’s speech/language and personal/social development. This is in addition to specialist safeguarding and H&S training.

Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education

Overview
The Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator) prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. Upon achievement of this qualification it is intended that learners will be able to access higher education or enter the workforce as Early Years Educators. This qualification confers the licence to practise as an Early Years Educator.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSE at grade C or above including English and maths.

Course Duration
Two years – full time. Two days per week will be alllocated for work placement.

Skills and Benefits
This qualification is suitable if you are currently working or wishing to work in early years education and care. It is also suitable for those wishing to progress to higher education.
