Overview
The Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator) prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. Upon achievement of this qualification it is intended that learners will be able to access higher education or enter the workforce as Early Years Educators. This qualification confers the licence to practise as an Early Years Educator.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSE at grade C or above including English and maths.

Course Duration
Two years – full time. Two days per week will be alllocated for work placement.

This qualification is suitable if you are currently working or wishing to work in early years education and care. It is also suitable for those wishing to progress to higher education.

Food and Mealtimes in the Early Years Working With Children Under 3 Years Working With Children Who Have Additional Needs Supporting Children’s Imaginative Play Cooking Activities With Children Supporting Children’s Creativity Promoting Children’s Development Outdoors

To gain this qualification you will need to submit a portfolio eveidence in addition to the assessments below: Externally set assessment Work placement evidence Complete longitudinal study

Progression
Foundation Degree in Early Years Education. This qualification will enable you to practice within the industry.
