Brief description To train candidates in Pool Lifeguarding techniques as well as First Aid, CPR, Team Work and water rescue skills. Suitable for: Anyone aged 16 or over wishing to become a Lifeguard
Requirements Candidates must:
Be able to jump or dive into deep water
Be able to swim 50m in less than 60 seconds
Be able to swim 100m continuously on both front and back
Be able to tread water in deep water for 30 seconds
Be able to swim to the bottom of the pool (2m)
Be able to climb out without use of the steps in deep water
Attend the whole course
Additional information Career opportunities: Pool lifeguard upon completion of the course.

The Natonal Pool Lifeguard Qualification is a nationally recognised award that allows the holder to become a Lifeguard at any pool in the UK and most pools abroad.
You will learn First Aid, CPR, Rescue Techniques, Teamwork and Lifeguarding skills as well as receiving a grounding in the issues that affect modern lifeguards and how to work effectively in a pool environment.
To apply for the course you must be 16 on or before the first day of the course
