Natural Gas Engineering in Doha

This course covers modern engineering concepts and methods used for the analysis and design of recovery projects for natural gas reservoirs, using an approach that integrates various methodologies for optimising reservoir performance. The course begins with a discussion of basic gas properties, demonstrating how properties may be obtained from both correlations and laboratory measurements. The three primary elements of the gas production system are next discussed – production equipment, wells, and the reservoir as a whole. In each section, fundamental principles and are presented, emphasising on those relating pressure and flowrate. The final section of the course integrates equipment, well, and reservoir performance relationships to develop methods for analysing and forecasting production rate vs. time.
