About this course
You must have a keen interest in, and an enthusiastic approach towards, the travel and tourism industry. You must also be currently working at a Level 1 (Foundation) standard, towards Level 2 standard (ie Intermediate Level). All students will be interviewed to assess their eligibility for the course.

Introduction:
This course has been designed for those who wish to follow a career in the airline industry as cabin crew.
The Intermediate certificate for air cabin crew is a new nationally recognised qualification. It has been developed in conjunction with employers and is designed for those wishing to gain employment within the travel sector and for those wishing to have a career change.
Study Mode & Location:
This 30 week part-time course lasts for 3 hours per week and will be held at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent`s Road, Preston, PR2 8UR.
Course Content:
Areas of study include:
- Airline Operations
- Customer Service & Communicating with Customers
- Air Cabin Crew Working Environment
- Aviation Security
- Health, Safety and Emergency.
Students will also be able to use travel resources including the Internet.
Assessment:
Students will complete a portfolio of work covering all learning outcomes. Assessment will be ongoing throughout the course and include role-plays, class activities, presentations and assignments.
Careers & Progression Opportunities:
Successful candidates will be able to pursue employment as cabin crew within the airline industry, via guaranteed interview scheme with Thomas Cook Airlines and BMI.
Additional Costs
Visits to Blackpool and Manchester Airports.
How To Apply
You will need to have an informal interview with a Adult Admissions Adviser.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
