This qualification will enable you to develop the knowledge and skills required when working with adults in health and social care environments in a supervised role.
This qualification allows you to choose one of three pathways:
• Generic Health and Social Care
• Dementia
• Learning Disability.
This qualification will take approximately 12-18 months to complete.

About this course

Completion of this qualification will equip you with the essential knowledge and skills required when working with adults in health and social care environments. It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health care procedures.

This qualification is ideal if you wish to work, or are currently working, in a supervised role with adults in health and social care settings in England.
This qualification is ideal if you have already completed a level 1 qualification in Health and Social Care, as you will already have a basic understanding of the unit subject matter; undertaking the Level 2 Diploma will allow you to build on your knowledge and apply it in real work settings.
You will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement as you will need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification but you will need to be at least 16 years of age.
