This qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in a senior role with adults in health and social care environments. It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health care procedures.
It has three pathways:
Generic Health and Social Care
Dementia
Learning Disability

It is also a must-have for all those undertaking the Level 3 Health and Social Care Apprenticeship.

About this course

All those who wish to work or are working in an unsupervised role with adults in health and social care environments.

You should be at least 16 years old and work in the Health and Social Care setting.

NCFE ​CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England​

This course can be used as a direct entry route into the University for further studies or progression onto a higher level apprenticeship or the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership within the industry.

Course programme

Learners must take nine mandatory units. They then have a choice of optional knowledge and competence units covering different areas of Health and Social Care such as supporting person-centred approaches, advocacy, health care, supporting those with disabilities, learning disabilities or dementia. Learners have the opportunity to take a general qualification in Health and Social Care, or they may follow specialist pathways in Dementia Care or Learning Disabilities.
