Achieving the Level 2 Certificate in Active Citizenship
To achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Active Citizenship candidates must demonstrate their achievement of all learning outcomes of each unit detailed in the Award Specification. Grades are not awarded.
Candidates who are unsuccessful may resubmit work within the registration period. A charge may apply.
Structure and Content of the Award

Active Citizenship
The award has one unit made up of three learning outcomes. In this unit candidates will explore what it means to be a British citizen. They will investigate their identity and the communities of which they are members. They will also evaluate different approaches to community living.
Candidates will explore some of the key issues and concepts in citizenship.
Finally, they will investigate the skills and strategies needed to actively practise citizenship in their community, and review and evaluate their current learning needs regarding active citizenship.
