NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills
Who is this for?
This qualification will be valuable for anyone needing to enhance their functional role, whether at work or in a personal capacity. It is also useful to people seeking a career change and who eventually wish to attain accredited counsellor status. It will also be of use to those wishing to consolidate their counselling skills and develop their knowledge of counselling theory. The minimum age of entry for this qualification is 18 years. Candidates should either: Hold the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills or equivalent or Have considerable experience in a voluntary organisation of working on a one to one basis which can be certified or Be able to provide evidence of work of an appropriate kind and level (either occupationally or on training courses) certified by a suitable qualified person. Please note that entry to this course involves completion of a counselling course application form available from the adult education office. It should be noted that the NCFE Level 3 Certificate is not a -licence to practise as a Counsellor. It does however, provide a progression route to a counselling Diploma, after which candidates may seek British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) accreditation as a counsellor.
