NCFE Using a Digital Camera and Scanner using your PC
Course content:
This course is a gentle introduction to digital photography and is suitable for anyone who wants to gain practical skills in using a digital camera and scanner, transferring photographs to a computer and manipulating photographs.
You will learn how to:
1 Use a digital camera
2 Use a scanner
3 Take photographs
4 Transfer images to the PC
5 Manipulate and enhance photographs
6 Print photographs
The course is entirely practical. Using IBM compatible machines, Digital Camera and Scanner and GIMP imaging software.
Assessment procedure:
Assessment takes the form of short tasks which require you to produce print outs of images before and after manipulation. There are also a set of questions to answer relating to digital photography. Successful completion of the assessment will lead to an NCFE certificate.
Qualifications achieved:
Non-externally certificated FE other provision, Level 1, Information and Communication Technology (SSA 6), PW B
Progression opportunities:
You will have the knowledge and skills to use a digital camera and scanner, transfer photographs to your PC, manipulate and print photographs.
